| Comments: The Nene, or Hawaiian Goose,
is perhaps the best known of the endangered species of Hawaii's
endemic avifauna. A widespread and concerted effort to save
the Nene from extinction is meeting with some success on
several of the islands; especially on Kaua'i where there are
now over 1000 individuals. |
