| Comments: The fluted cliffs
of the Na Pali coast on the northwest corner of Kaua'i, are among
the steepest on Earth. The world's highest rainfall on other
slopes above and inland from this coast results in rivers
that are a major factor in the erosion of these cliffs. From
the perspective of this image, no waterfalls can be seen, but
deep between these fluted ridges are many rivelets and small
streams rushing toward the sea below. This
