de Cuzco, Peru at 13,400 feet above sea level. |

| Comments: This native Quichuan woman,
with her beautiful smile, lives a full mile in elevation above
the village of Ollantaytambo. It is an extraordinarily rugged existence,
tending
sheep and llamas, washing in the glacial stream that runs through
her small village, and living in a stone hut with an earthen floor.
Her hat signals that
she speaks only
Quichuan. |
