| Subject: Baker of Urubamba,
Peru and his family |
| Date: October 1983 |
| Locale: Urubamba, Departamento
de Cuzco, Peru which lies toward the NW end of the Sacred Valley
of the Inca. |

| Comments: The bread baked by the people
of this region was wonderful when fresh, but it either had to be
eaten within hours, or placed within a plastic bag. Otherwise,
within a day it was so hard one could break a tooth on it. During
a two month expedition to this valley, we became frequent clients
of this family, and they were pleased to be immortalized on film. |
