| Comments: These native Quichuan women,
are using body looms to weave goods for trading in the local market.
In the 1980s, the Sunday market at Chincheros was alive with trading
and bartering among the indigenous people of the region. Tourists
were rare, and the commodities were primarily those needed in the
daily lives of the people themselves. |
