| Subject: Gray-headed Coneflower, Ratibida
pinnata |
| Date: 27 July 2003 |
| Locale: Kosota Prairie, south of Kosota,
Minnesota. |
| Photographer: Kendall W. Corbin |
| Comments: All except tiny remnants of
Minnesota's native prairie have now been put to the plow, making
way for fields of corn, soybean, sunflowers, highways, shopping
malls, etc. This is tragic, but precious remnants like Kosota Prairie
remain. These
are scattered
among the counties west of the Minnesota River. |
