| Comments: Sunsets are always a surprise
in pattern and colors. This one held the promise of being a spectacular
blaze of reds and yellows against the deep blues of the Pacific
Ocean, but instead there were no colors at all. The Pacific had
turned black under a solid ceiling of gray tones. Then,
about
25 minutes
before the
sun
dropped
to the horizon, its rays flared through one of the few holes in
an otherwise monopoly of grays. This scene was the result,
with no brilliant colors at all. |
