| Comments: Take a cup of water and
pour it into an ice tray, freeze it, and you'll get ice cubes
every time. Uniformity and monotony are the results. But take
the same water, let it first evaporate,
then condense, and finaly freeze slowly onto a pane of glass.
Voila! The magic of Jack
Frost
appears
with untold numbers of ice crystal shapes. The colder,
north-facing side of the Washington Avenue bridge is one place
where that magic takes place every winter. |
